Turn waste concrete disposal problems into profit! Only Stephens Enviro-Matic does it all. It recycles 100% of your returned concrete - course aggregates, cement and water. There is nothing like this compact, field proven, advanced system that eliminates space-robbing settling ponds and skyrocketing disposal costs. The key to the success of Enviro-Matic is that it is the only system that stores and controls slurry, keeping the fine particles in suspension in and underground mixer-blender. It monitors the specific gravity of the slurry and delivers it on demand to the batch plant for the batching of fresh concrete.

1.  Slurry Reservoir, three alternate sizes offered to meet production requirements.  Underground location provides natural insulation from temperature extremes.

2.  Slurry Agitator keeps solids in suspension.  Horizontal orientation at bottom of reservoir means agitation takes place where the slurry is most dense for highly efficient operation.  By comparison, vertical agitators are energy gluttons.  Agitator shafts have universal-joint mounting which permits, in case of extended power outage, one end of the shaft to be lifted out of the slurry.  When the power comes on, the shaft can be slowly lowered back into the slurry to resume agitation - a great design feature, should you ever need it. Slurry agitators typically run just 32 minutes per day and use only 5% of the power consumed by competitive agitators, even with slurry densities up to 1.5 S.G.

3.  Enclosed Agitator Drive System.

4.  Density Cell measures specific gravity of slurry whenever activated by batchmen.  Result of measurement is displayed at batch control panel and used as input to solids correction plug-in software for computer controlled batching.

5.  Rugged Screw Classifier moves coarse and fine aggregates up one side of specially designed screw trough.  Cement fines and water flow down the other side for superior washing and dewatering.  Screw has abrasion-resistant Ni-hard replaceable wear plates for extended service life.  Universal-joint drive permits raising one end of screw out of trough for inspection and maintenance.

6.  Washout Water Station injects programmed quantity of water into drum.

7.  Weir surrounding lower portion of screw classifier permits only slurry to fall into storage reservoir.

8.  Operator Start Button initiates washout sequence.

9.  Optional Auxiliary Conveyor Belt and shaker screen are controlled by the Enviro-Matic and run only on demand.

10.  Hydrocyclone strips sand fines from slurry.

  • Exclusive Underground Slurry Storage Tank

  • Density can be reduced by passing slurry through the Hydocyclone to optimize suspended solids in the slurry

  • Density Cell Automatically Measures Specific Gravity

  • Batch computer slurry solids correction software makes precise corrections in quantities of solids and water to maintain mix design proportions, yield and water/cement ratios regardless of slurry density

  • Programmable slurry agitation can ensure consistently uniform density

  • Slurry can be heated or chilled when ambient temperatures are an issue

  • Because Enviro-matic handles higher densities it facilitates complete daily depletion of the slurry reservoir contents and eliminates the need for hydration stabilizers

  • Density can be reduced by dilution in the slurry reservoir or at the point of batching

  • Submerged slurry agitator shaft bearing assemblies typically work 10 to 20 years without rebuilding

  • There has never been a replaced or broken agitator shaft in any Enviro-Matic!

  • Superior Washing Action

  • Automatic Backflushing Prevents Grout Buildup

  • State of the Art Controls

  • Vortex Shedding Meter

  • Slurry Press Module Completely Dewaters Slurry

  • Drainage Containment Module Adds System Versatility

  • Energy Efficient As-Needed Action

  • Fast and Easy Installation in days, not weeks

  • Completely Automatic Operation

  • Compact - fits in 20' x 30' space

Enviro-Matic Modules

Functions

Benefits

Separates aggregates from slurry, washes, dewaters aggregates.  Choice of models and capabilities

High quality construction by Stephens Mfg. produces long life, trouble-free performance

Separates coarse and fine aggregates

Reduces material handling costs

Strips sand fines (100+) from slurry on demand.  Centrifugal flow device has no moving parts.

Maximizes recovery of fines.  Reduces slurry density for better recycling or dewatering.

Stores slurry for later recycling, dewatering or disposal

Underground location saves space, permits dilution to control density.  Agitators run on demand, use minimal power.

Measures specific gravity of slurry

Ensures total quality control of concrete made with recycled slurry.

Powerful, proprietary software interfaces with batch plant control system, maintains yield, water/cement ration and mix proportions regardless of slurry density.

Protects quality of your product.  Permits total recycling of slurry with no compromise in mix design.  Works with all major computerized plant controls.  Only the Enviro-Matic System has this vital quality control capability.

Simple, economical method of dewatering slurry when it cannot be recycled into new concrete.  Range of sizes and capacities.  Minimizes or eliminates need for extensive settling ponds and mucking out and rehandling of sediment.

Completely eliminates any slurry problem.  Supports extreme demands up to 150 cu. yd. per day of returned concrete.  Solids are compressed into stable, solid cake byproduct easy to load, haul and dump as fill material.  Filtrate water is clarified and reusable.

All plant site storm drainage, fugitive water, filtrate, and make-up water can be prioritized by Enviro-Matic control.

Aids in compliance with regulations even with maximum production, adverse job conditions, high volumes of returned concrete and sever weather.
